Personal data

What the form collects

When you send the form, we receive your name, the contact you give and your message: the provider, the fact and the link. Nothing more is collected, and no account is needed.

Your name and contact are never published and are used only to ask about your message.

How visits are counted

Visits are counted by a script served from this site itself. It uses no cookies and builds no profiles. A click on a contact button on a provider page sends one event holding the button type, the provider and its activities, and nothing about you.

Your position

Your position is requested only once you press the location button. It stays in your browser for as long as the tab is open, is used there to work out distances and is sent nowhere, this site included.

If you choose a station, school or district by name, your browser keeps it for your next visit.

The map in the filters shows streets from OpenStreetMap: opening it makes your browser load map tiles from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which see your IP address and the part of the map you view, as any website would. The point you pick stays in your browser.

Listed providers and your rights

The catalogue repeats what providers publish for families on their own websites and in their Google entries. Where a single person runs a provider, a phone number or address appears only if that person has published it.

The legal basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): parents need these facts to compare what is on offer. Nothing is sold and no one is profiled.

Anyone named in the catalogue can ask through the form for access, correction or deletion, or object to being listed. We answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde) in Vienna.

Having a message deleted

To have a message you sent deleted, use the form once more and tell us which message you mean. It is deleted within one month.
